Greetings Canyon Alumni!
We would like to introduce Kelly Sweeney as The Canyon’s Alumni and Events Coordinator. Kelly has already been a part of The Canyon team for several years. Some of you may recognize her from meeting her in Admissions. Now she will be working with alumni and helping coordinate events and reaching out to you after discharge.
Kelly has been in the field of addiction treatment for seven years working in admissions and community outreach. Her passion truly lies in helping those who are suffering from addiction and mental illness. It has been a gift for Kelly to bring people to The Canyon as well as keep in touch after discharge. She herself is in recovery and can connect to alumni and patients due to her own life experience. When you are speaking to Kelly you can rest assured that you are speaking to someone who understands and can offer compassion and advice.
Kelly describes her position at The Canyon as “a daily rewarding experience. While the beautiful environment and staff are outstanding it is ultimately the witnessing of patients’ progress in treatment and outside of treatment that make it all worthwhile. “
